Dawn Till Dusk (2008)

30IPS TLM250489

Recorded on location at Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in Bylakuppe, Dawn Till Dusk features many previously unrecorded chants and mantras from the monastery’s rich heritage, passed down over the centuries through generations of Tantric masters.

Opening with the haunting sound of the conch shell trumpet summoning the monks to morning prayer, tracks include a prayer written by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama for the long life of the Panchen Lama, the recitation of Om Mani Padme Hum, the Mantra of Avalokitesvara, Buddha of compassion, and the Dolma Puja, or prayer to the meditational deity Tara.
